ello, my name is Laura Becker Sherman, and here is a little bit about myself:

     I grew up in Connecticut, where I attended Hamden Hall Country Day School. I moved to California when I was 17 to start college. I graduated from Cal Poly Pomona in 1989 with a degree in Civil Engineering.

     After working for a while in that field, I soon realized that this field was not for me. I then took up chess! I studied under a great player in the Los Angeles area and played tournament chess. I became quite good and achieved the status of 30th best woman chess player in the USA. I also ran the local chess magazine.

     In 1992 I discovered Scientology and began studying it on a regular basis. Please read my Success Story to discover more about the wins and gains I received there! It was an incredible experience for me and continues to be.

     Now I am writing as well as studying acting, along with Scientology. Life has become so much fun and so much easier. I recently wrote a children's story and it is in the process of being published. I have noticed through my studies in Scientology, that my interest in exploring my aesthetic side is expanding. It is such a glorious win for me!
