ello, my name is Clif Miller, and here is a little bit about myself:
My story in Scientology starts when I was wandering around Orange County after getting a job up here from living in San Diego and finishing college. I had heard about the book, Dianetics: The Modern Science of Mental Health, and bought it and started to read it. I found it very technical and put it down for a while. Oddly, around the same time, I ran into someone at the beach who was handing out personality tests, which had to do with Dianetics. I spoke to the guy, had a nice conversation, and heard his story. He took some time with me and it sounded like it helped him quite a bit.
So I went into the local organization in Tustin, and received some Dianetic processing (one on one with a counselor), found that fascinating, and started up some courses in Scientology, which provided me with some tools to attack life and my problems.
I remember being single, girlfriendless, not sure where I was going, and not doing what I enjoy doing, which is music.
As I continued with Scientology classes, I remember thinking, " I should probably have my stuff together before I start up a relationship with a girl." When I finished up a chunk of Scientology courses, I also remembering having the realization that I really didn't have many problems, and I couldn't remember what I was so hung up on before. I started living life with vigor, and before you know it I was out dating, and was in a band playing music. (I play the guitar, sing, and songwrite). The sucesses continue to happen, like people coming up to me after or during a gig , or in life, and asking me or having a facial expression of asking me," what is it about you that is different and makes me feel like life is fun?" or something of the sort. I guess that 's what happens when you don't have a lot of attention on what you are doing, but are having fun with it. It's contagious.
Besides music, I also do outside sales for a company, car detailing, phone technician work, and sharing Scientology with others as a Field Staff Member for Scientology. You might say it looks like I do a lot, but it doesn't really feel like it - it just dovetails together - and what I like is that I can decide to make one area bigger or smaller, and all facets are pretty much under my own control. And that's the name of the game in Scientology for me - freedom!
