ello, my name is Glenys Nall, and here is a little bit about myself:

     I am a being, living the life of a middle-aged wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, sister-in-law, writer, businesswoman, friend and citizen of planet Earth.

     I was lucky enough to find Scientology when I was 19 years old in the 1960s. At the time, I was an Australian champion sprinter and had recently won a gold medal at the Commonwealth Games as a member of the women's relay team. A year or so earlier, I had recorded the fastest 100 yards in the world for a woman and I was still a junior. I was very successful.

     I enjoyed the full support of my family and friends and anyone who is a sporting success in this country, is popular. I was happy.

     But I knew there was more to life. I had frequently had "out of body" experiences with the sheer exhilaration of my sport yet there was nothing in my Christian upbringing that could explain this and the few people I had shared it with didn't understand. I felt there was a part of me that was not really understood by myself or others. I was curious to know more.

     Scientology was big news in Melbourne at the time. A court case was in progress and a great deal of untruth was being published in the press

     Then I met a Scientologist. She struck me as a fine young woman. She was an industrial nurse and described a technique she had used on an injured worker. I knew what she described was not medical and asked her what it was. She explained the technique and said it was an Assist developed by L Ron Hubbard, the founder of Scientology.

     The concept was so sane I instantly felt I had found what I was looking for and I went with her to the church and took my first course, the Personal Efficiency Course.

     Most of the Scientologists I know became Scientologists to handle a particular area of difficulty in their lives. It's wonderful for this. There is an answer for any question a person can have for life's challenges. But my story is different. I reached for Scientology because I hungered for knowledge about the human spirit and I found it.

     I also found the man I would marry. He had been a Scientologist for some years and it was love at first sight for us both. We have shared many joyful decades, using Hubbard data to handle the inevitable rough patches.

      We joined staff and worked in Sydney organisation for a few years then started a family and returned to Melbourne. Our two children are Scientologists by their own choice. Child-raising is a delight with Hubbard methods.

     I continued my education and completed a Bachelor of Arts degree as a young mum. I trained as an English teacher and my first job was at the senior secondary level of a private school where I taught for many years.

     Then I completed a lot of Hubbard Administration training and decided to turn my hand at business so I started a writing and desktop publishing enterprise, consulting other companies on various aspects of business. At the same time, my husband also gave up his job and invented a product for use by his profession, architecture, and we worked from home. We scarcely had any capital but we built 2 successful businesses.

     I have completed dozens of Hubbard courses, am a trained counsellor and have completed many upper levels of Hubbard spiritual technology. I have read dozens of Hubbard books and routinely listen to the fantastic tapes he has created.

     Our eldest child is a daughter who is very successul in the fashion industry in Melbourne. She designs, manufactures and markets women's clothing and her business is expanding at an exciting rate. She uses Hubbard data to enhance her skill to combine art and business. She also used Scientology in her relationship with the man she loved.

     He is also very successful now and has become a Scientologist. They both use Hubbard technology in his business as well.

     They have also created our third generation in the form of one amazing little girl and another baby will arrive in a few month's time. As I write this, they are all having a well-earned holiday in Bali while their businesses make money in the care of competent colleagues.

     In 1987, our son dedicated his life to the church and became a member of the crew of the Scientology flag ship, Freewinds, which cruises the Caribbean. Here he pursues his love of art and communication and contributes an enormous amount to the advancement of the planet.

     For the past 3 years, I have worked as National Communications Manager for a rapidly-expanding business that performed among the top few small businesses in Australia under the leadership of the winner of the Australian Young Achiever of the Year Business Award for 1997. (I wrote his submission!) He was consulted by a Scientologist who introduced Hubbard business techniques to him and he too has become a Scientologist, as has his partner (Successful people can't resist this stuff!).

     Currently, I am returning to my purpose which is to write. I am rekindling my writing business, WRITING FOR ACTION, which produces various forms of documentation for people who want to achieve results! And I'm going to use the Internet as a promotional tool.

     The wonderful thing about Scientology is that one is empowered. One is free to choose to do whatever one wishes. At my stage of life, many woman are at home, knitting for their grandchildren. I KNOW I can do anything, regardless of the age of my body. I work a 50 hour week, am a member of the association of Yarralinda, the Hubbard method school here. I involve myself in activities which are bringing Hubbard techniques to others, help my husband, daughter and her husband with their businesses, mind my grand-daughter and I am about to return to study at the church to continue my expansion as a Scientologist.

     Every one of my close friends has become a Scientologist since I joined the church. Some of them are staff members of organisations or missions; others just use the materials to become very successful in business and all are happy. Many of my "extended family" members have enjoyed the benefits of various Hubbard processes and I have donated many books to organisations and people in an attempt to spread the sanity that is Scientology. I look forward to doing this for many decades to come. If you want to be happy and successful, this is the way.
