Scientology is a religious philosophy which helps one learn about the source of life. The word itself means knowing about knowing or knowing how to know answers". Most people agree there are natural laws on which life is based, even if they are sometimes vague or not fully understood. One can study these laws in Scientology along with simple techniques to improve lifes conditions.
I have been enjoying the good results of these techniques for nearly 30 years. They include simple skills like learning to listen to someone else or granting that another person is truly important to a wider scope such as setting and attaining life goals or determining right from wrong or how to get along with a rebellious teenager. I have had so many good results that a list would fill any hard drive.
The area that stands above all the rest, however, is my desire and ability to help people. Before I began practicing Scientology I had about the average level of interest in other people and their feelings -- not terribly high. I got along fine with folks to a point -- just as long as they didnt bug me or need something from me. Now, I not only have many really close friends, I also find it easier to make new friends from casual acquaintances. Scientology has shown me that people are really cool. And, they should be treated that way. On the other hand, it has also shown me whats up when a person is occasionally uncool and where that kind of thing originates. I really like people know because I understand myself and them!
Most of the people who are close to me are very happy and feel they are improving their lot in life. They have trials, tribulations and plenty of emotions, too. When they have problems sometimes they come to me for help. I can usually do something that they feel is pretty helpful. And in that lies the best feeling there is -- giving someone real help.
It sure makes life interesting and an awful lot of fun.
