ello, my name is Mary Untiedt, and here is a little bit about myself:

     I did my first course in Scientology when I was fifteen years old. I was not doing well at school. I did not like reading and did not like studying.

     I did a Scientology course which taught me HOW to study. During eleven years at school no one ever taught me HOW to study. The course I did was a very easy course. There were some easy drills that helped teach me HOW to study. The data on HOW to study are not difficult, they were very easy. It is just a matter of knowing HOW to study. When I apply the data from the course I CAN study!

     That was many years ago. Now I am the mother of two children. Actually three because I gained a son-in-law in February. They have done the Scientology course in HOW to study and love to read and love to study. They also excel in sports, music, drama and art. But their favorite is snow-skiing! With their love for learning there are so many opportunities available for them!

     I run a Child Care Center. I started the business when the children were very young. I used the Scientology Study Technology with the children. One example was when a little boy used a swear (cuss) word. I called him aside and asked him if he knew what the word meant. We cleared the word until he was happy that he understood the meaning. He was embarrassed that he had used the word inappropriately. That was the last of that word!

     Some children come to the Child Care Center in the afternoons after school. When helping the children with homework assignments we find the area that he is having trouble with and then trace the problem back from there. We apply the simple steps mentioned in the Learning How to Learn book. It is such a pleasure to see a hopeless looking child change into a child with confidence and eager to learn more. By giving the child the love to learn, I have the satisfaction of knowing that he gains more confidence, more abilities and more opportunities in life!
