The wins I’ve had from Scientology are numerous. I have had daily wins and successes from the first day I started to apply the knowledge back in 1969. The most major thing is having a workable, practical method for determining the rightness and wrongs of something. Things aren’t just 100% good or bad. As a parent this is very important to me as I can teach my three children values and morals so they can have a practical way to make good judgments, when I am not around. Friends, drugs, careers, love, all have infinite numbers of moral choices and nuances. Understanding ethics and morals is important in my family’s everyday life and I go to bed each night and rest easy knowing that I have the tools necessary to raise my family.

      Like a great many other people in the ’60s I used drugs for recreational and spiritual enlightenment. Now I can see this was really a pretty stupid choice, as these same drugs destroy motivation and discourage accomplishment. However I have been released from the harmful effects of drugs and handled all the emotional and spiritual reasons I took drugs in the first place. I’ve also handled my inadequate education with Hubbard’s study technology. Being a middle aged divorced mom of three children, didn’t exactly equip me for a high tech job, but applying Hubbard’s study technology has allowed me to come up to speed enough to work at a software development firm. While I don’t program computers at least I can use one and have an executive position at a software development firm! This was a big barrier for me and one I had to overcome if I was to support my family. I was actually able to switch from using a typewriter to being competent with computers and having an acceptable knowledge of how and why computers work! Going to go out and have a career again at almost 50, after being home with the kids!
