When I was eight years old a close family member died. For some unexplained reason I could not get over the grief. This event had turned a happy creative boy into a brooding confused child. Although it had been my dream to be a professional comedian, bouts of unhappiness would overwhelm me at all the wrong moments.

     I toughed it out during college getting professional comedy parts but could never muster the enthusiasm to truly feel happy onstage or in life. I knew this death was bothering me. I could not get it out of my mind. Searching for a solution to this mental anguish was frustrating. Not wanting drugs or electric shock, I stayed far away from the psychiatric community.

     This left books telling me to just “get over it.” Then pay dirt !!! By luck I saw Dianetics: The Modern Science of Mental Health.

     This book told me in graphic detail what can happen to a person’s mind when a death occurs and HOW TO HANDLE IT.

     Within a few short hours of Dianetics Pastoral Counseling my life was mine again. I am now a professional comedian who may be performing to 3,500 people in Las Vegas or doing a television show seen around the world. I credit 100% of my succes to what I have learned in SCIENTOLOGY.
