One of the most wonderful successes that I had using Scientology was during a stay in England. I interviewed for a job as a counselor, but the board decided that they would like me to run the whole show. It was a community center in a fairly large town in the industrial north. There was high unemployment, lots of kids playing hooky, and a generally depressed air. The community center was losing money and the staff were weary. L. Ron Hubbard says “Production is the basis of moral” and these folks had no moral.

     Using LRH administrative technology I put in an organizing board showing all the jobs and the lines on which communication should flow and who handled what area. I then wrote a “Hat”, this is a total description of the job, the tools needed to do it, and all the how to’s. We were able to assign a statistic to each job, and so each day I could target the staff on what needed to be done that day to achieve higher production and our objectives.

     We surveyed the community and came up with needed programs which we quickly implemented. I got an apprenticeship program going and we trained youths in all of our different areas, the cafe, running a crèche, music programs, drama programs, sports/adventure programs. We were able to get people trained and into jobs. We showed them how to learn, and how to resolve problems.

     The moral was high, the staff spent extra time working just for the joy of being there, the community used our services and came back for more. The money flowed in, we received grants from the local area and all the way from Belgium. One of our crowning acknowledgements was a visit from the Archbishop of Canterbury, the Cannon of the church and myself appear on local television, and we were congratulated on the success of our center..

     This technology can be used by everyone in all aspects of their lives.
