If you want to find out more about Dianetics and Scientology, the best way to do this is to read an L. Ron Hubbard book on the subject. I personally recommend you read Science of Survival.

     This book really helped me with knowing what to do to help someone come up the Tone Scale* by recognizing where they are on it. There is a "social tone" and a "chronic tone" that everyone is in. Knowing both is a real life saver when it comes to choosing your friends.

Tone Scale: a scale which shows the emotional tones of a person. These, ranged from the highest to the lowest, are, in part, serenity, enthusiasm (as we proceed downward), conservatism, boredom, antagonism, anger, covert hostility, fear, grief, apathy.
